This trail network consists of around 19.5 miles of various loops and it is part of the Centennial Trail and is often ridden as a loop starting from the Alkali Creek Trailhead.
To reach the parking area, from Rapid City, take Interstate 90 approximately 20 minutes to Exit 34. Turn right at the stop sign and then take an immediate left onto BLM Road. Travel 0.3 miles into the Ft. Meade Recreational Area and turn right into the Alkali Creek Trailhead parking lot. The trail starts on the other side of BLM Road , across from the parking lot.
Note: From the parking lot, cross the gravel road, go over the fence, stay to the right. If you accidently go left and go under Interstate 90 then you have gone the wrong way and you will then be on the Alkali Ridge Trail.
